You can create the API key in your account profile. With one of our self-service plans (or with the free plan) you can create up to two API keys. Enterprise users can create up to 10 API keys. Learn more here.

A lot of applications don’t require pasting your API key - for example, with Make you just need to grant the access to your remove.bg account. However, sometimes you need to connect to an app with the API key - in this case you just need to copy the API key from your account profile and paste it into the app you want to connect to.

An application programming interface (API) key is a unique identifier used to authenticate a user, developer, or calling program to an API. With our open API you can connect remove.bg to hundreds of apps or build your own. You will find your API key in the account’s settings, you can also re-issue it at any time.

Kaleido is the company behind remove.bg. unscreen.com (for video background removal) and designify.com (for creating designs). When you create an account on remove.bg (or unscreen.com/designify.com) you get instant access to all tools and this is your Kaleido account.
